Fresh Friday: CB " Life in 717"

Written by Anwar Curtis

America is a country full of different opinions, conditions, and expectations but believe it or not, each city in the country’s buildup has more similarities than a little bit. Having hometown pride does have its benefits, but when a persons tunnel vision is their main perspective in regards to their hometown conditions, separation occurs more often than not. It is fair to say that “ordinary people do extraordinary things” and Harrisburg’s own recording artist CB let his pen flow and voice go bridging the gap with his latest video “Life in 717.”

The song and video allowed CB to be vulnerable for three minutes and thirty-four seconds. It captures detail giving the rest of America who never imagined a small city like Harrisburg a better understanding that people there do have big city issues. Issues such as poverty, high rate of public schools being shut down, and unfair chances that have become worldwide topics and CB articulates his story developing insight well with the help of music producer DJ Toomp and video director Michael Morales with 7/20 films.
